Life is always great when a stock market is hitting highs. But the air is getting thin up here. While reluctant to throw cold water on the holiday season, I’m absolutley seeing events that are far more likely to occur at market tops than bottoms.
- Furious pace of Leveraged Buyouts.. even in airline stocks
- Career choices of new Harvard MBA’s
- Record payouts to Wall Street brass
- Relatively insane Wall Street celebration (a must/fun read)
- My minister at CCC being wowed by the Dow’s performance since summer
- My father in-law (to be) betting me $100 that the Dow closes over 13,000 on my birthday (Nov 25) of next year.
Teewinot will certainly be flexible in our outlook and trade what’s in front of us on a shorter-term basis.. but I’m generally cautious for early 2007.
More “Signs of a Top” will be posted as they occur. Be back shortly
