1. Rev Shark’s summation of today’s trading action is spot-on:
- “We knew it was going to be slow today, but I didn’t think it would be so completely uneventful.”
Unfortunately there were somber real life events.
2. Pat Morito — aka Mr. Miyagi — died today at 73.
3. Another loss today.. a guy I’d not heard of, but apparently the best soccer player England has ever known.. George Best died today. Here are 2 quotes attributed to him:
- “I’ve spent a fortune on booze, birds, and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.”
- “If you’d given me the choice of going out and beating four men and smashing a goal in from thirty yards against Liverpool or going to bed with Miss World, it would have been a difficult choice. Luckily, I had both.”
