I proclaim this?
A SportsCenter anchor just said Allan Houston is retiring from the Knicks.
As a 12 year old child, I watched Allan’s (Louisville) Ballard High School win the 1988 Kentucky state basketball finals over Richie Farmer’s defending state champion Clay County team.
Richie scored a record 51 points in the loss, went on to become a UK fan favorite, and is now the Ky Agriculture Commissioner.
When a guy you watched play hoops in high school retires from the NBA.. and his opponent is an elected government official.. You are not exactly a spring chicken !
Hope I can pull this off a few more times.
