Decadence

I am blessed to have witnessed Virginia’s huge 26-21 victory over Florida State in a 4-hour affair Saturday night. Our QB Marques Hagans looked better than Mike Vick. The UVa defense bent a little, but never broke. Solid contributions all around.

The 1995 Virginia football team - - which also beat the ‘Noles in a memorable battle on ESPN — was honored at midfield during halftime. I was pretty emotional as the highlight video rolled.. and as the former players pumped their fists. Extremely special.

This game had a monster stadium atmosphere .. for the whole game ! “Big Ups” to the UVa Athletics Dept.. and to the 63k fans raising hell for 4 hours.

Unfortunately, we’re now on a projected path to upset Fla St only once every 10 years. I know where I’ll be come Fall 2015..

Check out the game writeup by the Cavalier Daily.. our UVa student newspaper.

Great game and a fun weekend Buckner. Looking forward to the picture showing some creative ways to ease the US Current Account Deficit.

On another note, my strategy of betting against my team in order to hedge my enjoyment for the weekend is definitely in question after cutting a large check Sunday night. I’ll keep you posted if I decide to bet on UNC this weekend.
