At least temporarily.
I am down to only 1 refinery construction stock, TKP. I harvested a bunch of profits yesterday & this morning.. while they are generally chopping and/or pulling back currently, I’d buy them back once they stabilize & begin another up move. I simply don’t enjoy sticking around for the selloffs, and there are probably plenty of Johnny come Latelies in these stocks (who bought knee-jerk style after Katrina) who need to be flushed out before the next up leg.
The markets are looking pretty shaky recently. The portfolio is only 13% invested, in the 4 positions noted below. For long-term accounts, I’m going to mostly work on my buy list for the rest of the week rather than aggressively make new buys. I’ll also be monitoring stocks that I recently sold for better entry points.
Online brokerage stocks have been bucking the recent downtrend; here’s the chart of my newest purchase. There are never any guarantees, but that’s what a Bottom looks like.
